Hello everybody, my name is Sonny Miller. I want to talk to you guys today about Toyota Sienna vans. Me myself, I love Sienna vans — I’ve had several through my life. They’re some of the most reliable vans Toyota ever built.

If you guys are looking to sell your Sienna, I’m here for you. If you’re just looking for general advice, I’m here for that too. Call me anytime on my personal cell phone at (714) 900-3723. No hassle, no pressure. 5 minutes on the phone doesn’t bother me at all, I am a people person.

Here’s what makes me different. I buy older Siennas that most dealers and other car buyers won’t touch — high miles, check engine light, broken sliding door, sitting for years. When your van fits my range, I’m going to give you more than a junkyard, because I know what these vans are really worth. I’ll give you less than private party because I have to make a profit too — but if it’s the right fit, I’m your guy.

The other thing I push really, really hard is convenience. I come to you, anywhere in Southern California. I take the hassle and the headache out of selling a car. We handle all the DMV paperwork. We show up fast. I pay you the same day, before the van leaves your driveway. You can look us up on Google — our reviews speak for themselves. That’s not me bragging, that’s my customers telling you the honest truth.

The Years I Buy

My main range is 1998 through 2015 Siennas. If your Sienna is 2016 or newer, I usually only buy it when there’s real damage, a serious mechanical problem, or a salvage title. A clean newer Sienna will get you more selling private party, and I’ll be straight with you about that on the phone.

How I Price Your Van

Honest math. More than a junkyard. Junkyards see a check engine light or a stuck sliding door and treat your van like scrap. It’s not — even with one problem, your Sienna still has a buyer who’ll drive it for years.

Less than what you’d get selling it yourself. I make a profit, and I’m taking the work and the risk off your hands. In return, you get a real number on the phone, no strangers in your driveway, no test drives, no waiting weeks. All the paperwork is handled, and you get cash the same day.

If you can sell it privately and get more for it, I’d rather you do that. I’ll even coach you over the phone on the proper steps and give you all the tips and guidance I can.

How Fast I Can Be There

  • Anywhere in Orange County: 1 to 2 hours.
  • LA County: 3 to 4 hours.
  • Rest of Southern California: same day or next day.

I personally come myself. If not, it’ll be me or a family member from my own family — same operation, same standards.

What I’ll Buy It With

If your Sienna has any of these, you’re in the right spot: transmission problems, engine problems, check engine light, sliding door that won’t open or close, oil leaks, won’t start, dead battery, flat tires, sat in a side yard for years, expired registration, lost title, no smog, high miles, cosmetic damage, or even a salvage title.

The few things that really hurt the price: a major engine repair like a head gasket, a sludged-up engine, missing catalytic converter, or flood damage. Even with those, call me anyway. I’ll tell you whether I’m the right fit, or whether you’d do better elsewhere.

A Quick Tour Of The Generations I Buy

1998 To 2003 — The Original Sienna

The first Sienna replaced the Previa minivan in ’98. 3.0-liter V6, front-wheel drive, seven seats. The catch was oil sludge — if previous owners skipped oil changes, the engine could gel up internally and slowly die. A first-gen with maintenance records is rare and worth real money to me. A neglected one drops the price hardest. Either way — running today or sitting five years in a Costa Mesa carport — call me. Normal Tuesday.

2004 To 2010 — The Second Generation

This is where the Sienna got serious. The 2007 to 2010 vans got Toyota’s 3.5-liter V6 — one of the best engines they ever built. These vans regularly hit 200,000 miles when taken care of. All-wheel drive showed up in 2004, which is rare and pushes my offer up.

One thing 2007 to 2010 owners should know. There’s a known issue with a small rubber oil hose that can crack and dump engine oil in seconds, sometimes destroying the engine. Toyota fixed it for free under a service campaign on certain vans. Check yours with the free Toyota recall lookup. If your engine seized from this, I still buy it.

2011 To 2015 — The Early Third Generation

This is the Sienna I see most often in Orange County. The most common problem is the power sliding doors — cables inside the doors wear out, fray, and quit. None of it stops me. Tell me the year, miles, and what’s going on, and I’ll price the whole van.

The Sliding Door Question

This is the number one reason people call me about a Sienna. Two kinds — manual (slide by hand) and power (opens with a button). Manual doors almost never fail. Power doors are where the trouble is.

Here’s my honest advice. If a broken sliding door is the only thing wrong, fix it. The repair pays for itself when you sell. If the door is the third or fourth thing on a long list of problems, the math doesn’t work. That’s when you call me.

You Don’t Have To Drive It To Me

Doesn’t run, flat tires, dead battery, no plates — totally fine. I come to wherever the van is sitting. Driveway, side street, storage unit, parking lot. I bring everything I need.

One important note. Don’t drive a Sienna with expired registration. California law (Vehicle Code §4000) makes it illegal to drive an unregistered vehicle on public roads. If yours is expired, leave it parked — I’ll handle it.

How The Process Works

  1. Call me. Year, miles, what’s going on. Even if you’re just gathering information.
  2. Get a real number on the phone. Flat offer — no bait and switch.
  3. Pick a pickup time. 1 to 2 hours OC, 3 to 4 hours LA, same or next day rest of SoCal.
  4. I show up with everything I need.
  5. You get paid before the van leaves your driveway. Cash or cashier’s check, your choice.

Where I Buy

Orange County: Anaheim, Aliso Viejo, Cypress, Garden Grove, Westminster, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, Santa Ana, Tustin, Irvine, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, Fullerton, Buena Park, Orange, Yorba Linda, Lake Forest, and Laguna Niguel.

LA County and beyond: Long Beach, the San Fernando Valley (we have a Van Nuys office), Riverside, and San Bernardino. Full list on my service areas page.

Common Questions

Will you buy a Sienna with a broken sliding door?

Yes — every week. Worn cable, bad wiring, motor that quit — none of it stops me. Repair cost is built into the offer.

My Sienna sat for five years and won’t start. Do you still want it?

Yes. Expired registration, dead battery, flat tires, engine cranks but won’t fire — none of that matters.

My Sienna is a clean 2018. Should I call you or sell it myself?

Sell it yourself — a clean late-model Sienna will get you more on the private market. Call me anyway, and I’ll give you free tips on how to get the most for it. No pressure.

Do you pay more for an all-wheel-drive Sienna?

Usually yes. AWD Siennas are rare in Southern California. A clean AWD with maintenance records brings a stronger offer because there’s always a family in Tustin or Mission Viejo looking for one.
